The School Report Cards for Fieldcrest schools continue to show growth for our students in the areas of Math and English Language Arts.

We are proud of Fieldcrest Middle School’s recent gains in student growth and academic achievement, which have led to an Exemplary designation reserved for schools performing in the top 10% statewide. Academically, our students performed above the state average in several areas including achievement and growth metrics in English Language Arts and Mathematics. While we are proud of this designation, we remain committed to working tirelessly to ensure that students at Fieldcrest Middle School receive a high-quality education, are challenged daily, and have opportunities both in and out of the classroom to be themselves and grow.

Fieldcrest Primary showed improvement in math growth; however, we have been designated for targeted support due to identified achievement gaps in key areas, particularly among low-income students. This designation stems from scores in areas such as math proficiency, reading proficiency, and chronic absenteeism, which will be the focus of our School Improvement Plan.

Both the Intermediate School High School earned Commendable ratings which indicates that the schools are within the range of scores and indicators of an effective school.  Both schools have areas of strength as well as opportunities for growth.

Fieldcrest Intermediate’s attendance rate continues to improve, which is a strong indicator of students’ engagement and consistent participation. However, we persist in looking for ways to support students with chronic absenteeism, who miss more than 10% of the school year. Through additional opportunities to build upon our positive school culture, as well as developing strong ELA and Math skills, all of our students will benefit in both academic and social-emotional growth.

Fieldcrest High School is proud to report improvements in our graduation rate and science proficiency, both of which surpassed the state average and were key areas of focus this past year. In the coming year, our attention will shift to improving chronic absenteeism and ninth-grade on-track rates, as these factors greatly impact student growth and are therefore priorities in our school improvement plan.

The Fieldcrest staff remains united in our commitment to providing the highest quality education and support for our students.
